Come to the Fire Prayer Letter

Dear Prayer Partners,

Thank you for being a part of the 2020 Come to the Fire prayer team. As you probably know, God has called our daughter Arla Mitchell to lead Come to the Fire. She has stood with me in believing the promises God has given for this ministry. The last three years we have been patiently waiting for Him to act as he asked us to do. “Be still in the presence of the Lord, and wait patiently for him to act” (Psalm 37:7 NLT)

One morning a few weeks ago, soon after I awakened, these words came to me, “You don’t have long to wait.” This week the words “It’s time” have been in my mind repeatedly, and I’ve found myself saying them over and over. When I told Arla, she looked at me with surprise and said, “I’ve said the same thing.” Nancy Jesudass said she also believes God will reveal His plan for Come to the Fire soon, certainly in 2020.

This coming Tuesday morning Arla will be speaking at a women’s rally at the Brown City Camp in Michigan. Andrew Murray said, “Prayer on earth is the true measure of the presence of the Spirit.” Would you join us in prayer for an outpouring of God’s Spirit on that service?

We pray with Isaiah, “Oh, that you would rend the heavens and come down!” (Isaiah 64:1). May we soon see the Spirit poured out on the thirsty land, prodigals coming home, and a great harvest of souls brought into the kingdom.

Enjoying and believing His promises,

Aletha

“The Lord will surely comfort Zion [the Church] and look with compassion on all her ruins” (Isaiah 51:3).
