Spend a Day With Jesus

When John and two of his disciples saw Jesus walking by, John said, “Look, the Lamb of God!” How often we need someone else to help us to begin to be attentive to the Lord.

The men followed Jesus until Jesus turned to them and asked, “What do you want?” (John 1:38).

They asked a simple question, “Where are you staying?”

“Come and you will see,” He replied. They went and saw where he was staying, and spent that day with Him. It was as though He said, “Do you really want to know more about me? Then come spend some time with Me, and I’ll answer your questions.”

What was the result of a day spent with Jesus? Andrew knew He had found the Messiah and went to tell his brother Peter. When we spend time with Him and learn more about Him, we, too, want to share what we’ve discovered with others and bring them into Jesus’ presence.

Dear Jesus, thank You for the invitation to spend time with You.

“My eyes are ever on the Lord” (Psalm 25:15).

“One thing I ask from the LORD, this only do I seek: that I may dwell in the house of the LORD all the days of my life, to gaze on the beauty of the LORD and to seek him in his temple” (Psalm 27:4).
