Jennifer Waits for Her Son

One day Jennifer's neighbor told her about an embarrassing incident Jennifer's son had at school. As soon as she heard about it, she knew her son needed to be encouraged and loved and given help to put it into perspective. All day she planned how she could help him when he came home from school and told her about it. She was prepared and eager to help.

To her surprise and disappointment, he did not tell her about it right away. She had determined that she should wait until he brought it up. It was several days before he told her. 

During those days she longed to give him what he needed. She waited eagerly for him to broach the subject.

During these few days God told her, "This is how I feel when you do not turn to Me in every need. I am overflowing with love toward you and long for you to come to Me and accept my provision for every detail of your life. I have everything prepared and am only waiting for you to ask."

Thank You, Jesus, for inviting us to voice our needs and for longing to meet them.

"Casting the whole of your care--all your anxieties, all your worries, all your concerns, once and for all--on Him; for He cares for you affectionately, and cares about you watchfully" (I Peter 5:8 Amplified).
