Prayer in America
In 1996, the Money Magazine ranked Newark "The most dangerous city in America." The good news is that God has not forgotten His covenant and that He is taking Newark back.
The Pray For Newark Adopt-A-Street initiative is a grassroots movement of ordinary individuals, church congregations and businesses that aim to have every one of Newark's 900 streets, and the people that live there, prayed for on a daily basis. In the same month that the Adopt-A-Street initiative was launched, Newark experienced 43 homicide-free days - something which hadn't happened in half a century!

Two groups are gathering to pray for America on July 16. Together 16 will be in Washington on the National Mall from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. Their desire is for 1,000,000 people from all backgrounds to be part of this historic day, standing together for Jesus, laying aside their differences to pray and worship together. You can read about it here.
Also on July 16, The Response: USA is coming to Cleveland, Ohio, in a Joel 2, and 2 Chronicles 7:14 solemn assembly crossing denominational, racial, and political preferences to meet at the cross of Christ on behalf of our nation. It will be a time of worship, prayer, fasting and repentance.
