God's Answers May Be Invisible
One lady said she put a neighbor on her prayer list and prayed for her for several years. Finally one day after several years of praying for her regularly, she took her name off the list; she couldn't tell that her prayers had done any good.
Some months later, she saw her friend in the grocery store. Her neighbor said, "Why did you quit praying for me?"
"How did you know?"
"I began going deeper into Christian Science so I knew you weren't praying."
She promised to again begin praying for her. A couple years later the neighbor came to church and found the Lord.
A. B. Simpson said, "Even when we think our prayers have had no effect, they have been more effective than all other efforts."
Paul said, "Pray without ceasing" not meaning an impossible 24/7--but "Don't give up on your praying. Don't drop your concern and your confidence." If we could see what is happening in answer to our prayers, we would often be amazed how faithfully God responds.
