Want A Prayer Partner

Patsy Lewis invited a group of women to contact her if they would like to have a prayer buddy. To her surprise, nearly every woman requested that she pair her with another praying woman. Patsy hears many stories from these prayer partners. One prayer buddy recently spent two weeks in prayer devoted to her prayer partner's adult son. About a week later she got a call from that son thanking her for her prayers. These two prayer buddies live miles apart in different states and have never met!

"The prayer of a righteous person is powerful and effective" (Jam. 5:16). If the prayer of one righteous person is powerful and effective, just think what the prayers of two or more righteous people will accomplish!

Jesus introduced the idea of praying with another when He said, "Truly I tell you that if two of you on earth agree about anything they ask for, it will be done for them by my Father in heaven. For where two or three gather in my name, there am I with them" (Matt. 18:19, 20). Simply His promise to be with us would be enough reason to pray with another, but He will answer our prayers, too!

Deuteronomy 32:30 speaks of one man chasing a thousand and two putting 10,000 to flight. God values unity so much, that He says, if you are united in desire--I will reward you! When we both desire the same thing, with one leading in prayer and the other either silently or aloud saying a heartfelt, "Yes, Lord," our prayers become synergistic.

If you want a prayer partner with whom you could pray regularly, we will prayerfully attempt to connect you with someone who is also requesting a prayer partner. Simply respond to this email and include your phone number, specify if you are male or female and indicate if you prefer to pray by email or phone. Also, include any other information that you think would be helpful.

"Here is one alone, no one with him...it is painful effort and unhappy business...Two are better than one; because they have a good reward for their labour" (Ecc. 4:8, 9).
