School Was a Breeze

Peggy, a public grade school teacher, learned at the beginning of the school year she was going to have two children in her class no teacher wanted. Either one of them was a handful for any teacher. Amazingly, though, the year seemed to be a breeze.

One day a mother of one of her students came in and said, “I’ve been praying for you.”

Peggy responded, “Oh, that is why this year has gone so well!”

We would resist those temptations to pass over our prayer time if we understood the value of each word we lift to God.

God eagerly receives our prayers because when we bear others’ needs in prayer as though they were our own, we allow Him to do what He could not have done if we had not prayed.

Jesus, please prompt me to pray for all those situations You know affects those I love.
