Lack Nothing!

God is so kind that  He sees our dilemma as His opportunity to do us good.

Jehovah-Jireh was the name Abraham gave to the place where the Lord provided a ram when he was offering his son as a sacrifice. It is a name we ascribe to God and means "The Lord will provide." It means God sees to everything beforehand. We never have a need that is not already met.

The key to discovering God to be our Jehovah Jireh is to give up our Isaac, the thing that is dearest to us. When we willingly surrender our deepest desire, then, and only then, can we discover that God's provisions are always better than we would have thought to request.

I recently looked up Jehovah Jireh in Strong's concordance and discovered that Jireh means "see" so the literal meaning is "God will see to it." When I place my problem in His hands, He will see to it. That is His name!

Thank you, Jesus, that You always look at a need with plans to meet that need.

"Fear the Lord, you his saints, for those who fear him lack nothing" (Psalm 34:9).
